Your Home Based Business

You want to work at home.

You're tired of the commute to work.

You hate your boss.

You've seen the infomercials on TV at 3 am and you believe the testimonials of all those people making $10,000 a month selling a cookbook.

You've received hundreds of emails that all sound alike. Each one is from a guru who knows more than anybody else, who tells you can't survive unless you buy the product, that you're a fool if you don't buy now, that there is no other product like this on the planet and that you will make millions selling it. The sender is the one who has made millions. You won't!

Mostly they're selling a dream.

You want to believe that there is an easier way to make a living than the way you do. You dream of sleeping until 10, having a leisurely breakfast, reading the newspaper and then working a few hours in your bathrobe in the kitchen. Well, reality check!

Working for a company may require a 40-60 hour week. Working for your own business probably will require more time because you are responsible for everything. Working at home is the same. Now you may even be the only employee. Now you're the boss AND the worker.

The email says "I work 3 hours a week checking my bank account for all the deposits." Yeah, right!

Working at home isn't for everybody. It takes a while to build up a successful business from scratch. But if you have the will to work hard and not listen to the nay-sayers, you can succeed. If you have a full time job, keep it until your home business income replaces your job's income. It will be worth the wait.
